Too Faced Pardon My French Set Tutorial

Hello Ladies!!! Just wanted to give you a quick step-by-step on an eye look I created using products from the limited edition Too Faced Pardon My French Set. This set is an exclusive to Sephora only and it is just the cutest thing! It comes with the eye palette, a sample of the eye primer, a sample mascara and a full size eyeliner. Not to mention that you are getting the cutest little makeup bag! Click on the link below to view more information about this product. The look I created was my last eye look for a few weeks because I had eye surgery. "No eye makeup for 2 to 3 weeks" says the Eye Doctor. Yes Sir! The colors in this palette are so perfect for summer. I really love how I pulled off most of the colors in this palette to create a somewhat unique eye look. Below are step-by-step instructions on how I used the product. I hope that you enjoy! Stay tunned for my June 2014 Favorites!

                                                Love,

Too Faced Pardon My French

Too Faced - Pardon My French Set

1) I applied Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer all over my lid and up into the brow bone.

2) Using a flat eyeshadow brush, I applied the color "Mermaid" all over my eye lid. I went over the lid one more time to deepen the color.

3) With an eyeshadow detail brush, I applied the color "Firefly" to the outer corner of my lid.

4) Using an eyeshadow detail brush, I applied the color "Chocolate Sun" into the crease and blended like crazy.

5) With a basic eyeshadow brush, I applied "Cocoa Beach" right above the crease.

6) With a fluffy eyeshadow brush, I applied the color "Plumeria" and blended it slightly into "Cocoa Beach"

7) As a highlight, I applied "Sunbeam" to my brow bone.

8) I like a little glitter so I did separately bring in the Lorac 3D Liquid Luster in "Diamond" and tapped in on just a bit on my lid.

8) I lined my upper lash line using Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner in Perfect Black

9) Lastly, I curled my lashes and applied Lash Injection Extreme Volume Tubing Mascara.

 Favorite Balm/Treatment

SUGAR SHINE LIP TREATMENT
This stuff really conditions my lips to the core! This product has lasted me for quite awhile. It gives a nice sheen to the lips and my lips feel just overall healthier.

Best Eye Catching Red

This lip pencil is AMAZING.. When I feel like being a little daring, I add this gorgeous red to my lips and I am a Diva for the entire day!

Best Luxury

Bite Beauty - Luminous Crème Lipstick Duo

Oh-My-Gosh this lipstick feels so good on the lips. I wanted to give Bite lipsticks a try but was not appreciateing the price of a tube. I picked up this beauty in the check out lane at Sephora (We all love those bins dont we?) This duo is great for a natural lip look. Now I know why Bite Lipsticks cost so much. I probably wont be picking up anymore soon due to the price, but if I could have a whole line of this product I would be happy :)

Best Drugstore

Gotta love some Wet N Wild! This line of lipsticks are so highly pigmented! Sometimes I even need to do the blotting into the tissue with this bad boy. Great matte color that last pretty dang long. I don't totally enjoy the way a matte lipstick feels so I layer on a gloss over top. Oh Yeah!!!!

Best MAC Lipstick

MAC Cosmetics: Lipstick in Brick-O-La

This is my first and only MAC Lipstick and man oh man did I spend a lot of time testing and swatching all of the lipsticks at my local MAC Store. This color caught my eye though. The Amplified line is super soft and smooth. I feel like every time I apply the color that the lipstick itself will just melt. Is that normal? LOL

The Most Disappointment

Outlast Double LipShine
This stuff made my lips feel so.....so...... GROSS. Ugh! I wanted to love it. I applied the color end first and gave it some time to dry, but it never did fully. It felt so clumpy. When I added the clear gloss at the other end it was all just a hot mess. I'm pretty sure that I threw the product on the floor and screamed as if I would seeing a snake or spider!!!

Best Gloss

This lovely gloss was one I featured in one of my monthly favorites post. This gloss makes me feel so happy :) . If you do not own one of these NYX glosses, I urge you to visit your local NYX Cosmetics retailers on an urgent to need basis. I promise that you will not be disappointed! When you come back, you can read the rest. Carry on! :P

Something Extra!!

Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Hypnotist

And then there was something new....... I just received this in the mail and have not had a chance to play around with it. I had to show it to you because I am super excited about this lip product. This gloss can be worn alone or over color for a "color-shifting" effect. I'm so excited!!!

Green & Gold Eye Look!

Hey everyone! Happy Friday!! I tried out a new and unique (on me) eye look that I had to share. I focused on using colors green and gold. I went for a shimmery/glitter type look. I like doing this most always! I love shimmer and glitter! I think it opens my eyes up more.

Here's the products I used:

Urban Decay Primer Potion in Anti Aging
Urban Decay Vice Palette in the color Blitz
Urban Decay Eye Shadow Single in Kush
Ulta Voluptuous Volume Mascara in Jet Black
Cover Girl Clump Crusher Mascara in Very Black
Salon Perfect Eye Lashes in Demi Whispies

1) First I applied Urban Decay Primer Potion in Anti Aging
2) I applied Urban Decay Eye Shadow Single in Kush all over my lid
3) I used the Urban Decay Vice Palette 1 with the color Blitz blended into the crease and up towards the brow bone.
4) I applied Urban Decay Eye Shadow Single in Uzi to highlight my brow bone
5) I went back to the Urban Decay shadow in Kush and smudged that into my lower lash line
6) I curled my top lashes and applied Ulta Voluptuous Volume Mascara in Jet Black
7) On the bottom lashes I applied Cover Girl Clump Crusher Mascara in Very Black
8) Last I applied Salon Perfect Eyelashes Demi Whispies

I hope that you enjoyed this look! I had fun with it. I'm thinking next I will try a pink and gold....or pink and silver (my colors for the wedding in 1 week) I will be sure to show pictures of my make up look for my wedding! Thanks for your support!!

Becca's May 2014 Beauty Favorites!!

May has come and gone and I have selected my favorite beauty products! Luckily it was not hard to choose with these darlings that have made my face beautiful all month! I have made it a habit to only choose 8 favorites a month so that you are not overwhelmed in reading. Click on the product name to go strait to the products website for more information about each product. What are your favorites for the month? Comment below!

Bare Minerals Complexion Perfection Palette

My Color: R250 Medium Beige
I L.O.V.E this Bare Minerals Palette! It has been so long since I have tried any Bare Minerals products. I remember several years back when I bought my first Bare Minerals foundation. It came in a beginners kit which included two loose mineral foundations of different colors, Mineral Veil, and the bronzer. This was a little overwhelming for me. I did not understand why they gave two shades of foundations and I was so unsure how to even make the products work. They made it look so easy on TV. When I received the products.... Not so much. This lovely palette is pretty self explanatory. The Palette has all pressed products with 1 foundation, 1 mineral veil, 1 bronzer, 1 luminizer and 1 cream concealer.  The coverage is medium-to-full and feels light on the skin. The kit also comes with two mini brushes. They are a bit too small for me, so that's when I went to Walgreen's and found this bad boy:

e.l.f Studio Powder Brush

This brush feels so amazing on my skin! I would have to say that this is the best $3.00 I have spent all month. The bristles don't fall out which is nice! I was a bit held back about buying a foundation brush from the drugstore. The first foundation brush that I purchased was from MAC and that thing fell apart like crazy. I started just using my fingers after that because I was tired of picking bristles off of my face. I heard and saw some good reviews from a couple of my favorite You Tubers and caved in. It feels soooooooooooo nice. Now that I think about it, I wonder if it would hold up to being used as a facial cleanser tool. Hmmmmm...... Don't steal any of my idea's ladies, but I think I will grab me another one this week and give it a try!!!

Wet N Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio in I'm Getting Sunburned

I have to admit that this is my first Wet N Wild eyeshadow trio that I have purchased for myself. I chose the color I'm Getting Sunburned.... Well, because it's summer!!!! I wore this trio today and could just kick myself for not taking a pic. I would have never thought of using these colors together. I was especially surprised at how well the purple color turned out as a highlight. These shadows did not crease at all. I'm thinking that I need to pick up all the trios... Which one should I try next? Please comment below!

Physician's Formula Happy Booster Blush in Warm

I really think that the color of this blush is so pretty! I don't really see or feel how the "Happy Mood Booster" works, but I enjoy it anyway. You can really concentrate your blush brush and swirl in the colors towards the right for a great "blushed" look. I like to swirl my blush brush focusing on the left side of the blush for a pretty highlight. Great staying power. Off topic... I'm hungry. I'm kinda craving some ramen noodles but I am too lazy to cook them...

Covergirl Blast Flipstick Lip Color in Smooch

I have been liking this lipstick for awhile. As a matter of fact, it may be the first lipstick that I would wear on a regular basis that actually felt nice on my lips. I am much more use to using glosses. I think that I have an addiction to them? I enjoy the two in one ordeal. The darker color goes all over my lips, while I use the lighter color as a highlight on my lower lip for more fullness. The lighter color tends to wear off more easily with eating and drinking, but that's ok. I would rather have to reapply a color that feels great on my lips verses a long lasting lipstick that feels cakey and dry. I hope that they come out with other colors! I see them on sale a lot so I am hoping that they are not discontinuing the product!

Origins Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask

I have come to find that the best way to get the most out of a skin care product is that you follow directions EXACTLY as indicated. When I think back, I tended to move quickly through steps which caused me not to get the best benefits out of the products. This is one to pay close attention to! Origins indicates that you place a hot rag on your face to open up your pores and then you apply the product. This isn't a mask that you apply to a dry face. I also like to squeeze the tube around to make sure that the product is mixed well before each use. This mask does what it says and you can feel it working on your skin! Once a week is my usage!

Lorac 3D Liquid Lustre in Amethyst

I feel a little bad about mentioning this Lorac product because it is no longer offered online or in stores, but it is my favorite soooooooo...... Here I go! I first saw the Liquid Lustre in Diamond demonstrated on some  You Tube videos and fell in love. I am definitely a glitter type gal and always will be! During the holidays, a four pack was offered from Lorac with this Amethyst color, Diamond, a Bronze, and a Silver. I use each everyday but the Amethyst is my fav! It only takes a drop for both eyes. Pop the Liquid Lustre in the middle of the lid for a pop of shimmer. Oh Yeah!!!!!

Kardashian Beauty Bronzer in Cabana Bronze

I love to use Blogs and You Tube as tools when I go shopping for beauty products. They give me a good idea of what I should go strait for or should avoid. The Kardashian line is definitely one that I was not willing to try based on the overall reviews I have read and seen. I went to Ulta looking for a great bronzer and highlight and this puppy caught my eye. It said Cabana Bronze on the front with cute gold-rose packaging. It is a large compact with three tones of color. The left is a light highlight color, the middle is a neutral color and the right is a dark bronze color. Jackpot!! I bought the product and of course as soon as I got into the car, I had to swatch. I looked on the back to see which line it came from and Sha-Zam it is the Kardashian line. Cheers to this product!!!

I hope that you enjoyed my May Favorites! Be sure to comment on your favorites and products that you think I should give a try! Thanks for your support. Wedding day is almost hear. I need to find a great long wearing look since the wedding will be outdoors. I hope its not raining, humid, or to hot.....
