Kirk Franklin. A True Blessing!

Happy Friday everyone!!! I am so excited for the long weekend. I have to share this video. This music video is by Kirk Franklin. He has been a big part of my spiritual life and especially with this song. I hope that you can take some time to watch it all the way through. It really has an amazing message and a lot of people can relate. Kirk Franklin is my absolute favorite gospel artist. His music and messages have helped me though some pretty tough times. I had the surreal pleasure of seeing Kirk Franklin live. I was one of the first to buy a ticket and I was the first in line to get a seat. I cried when he first came out and through the first few songs. No pictures were allowed to be taken. At the end of the concert I was blessed to get a hug from him and show my appreciation for the positive effect he has had in my life. He noticed that the gal I was sitting next to had a camera and he gave her permission to take our picture together. I was so moved and knew that this was a once in a lifetime moment. At the end of the concert, I wrote down my email and asked for the gal (complete stranger) to email me the picture. Sadly I never got the picture. My heart was broke, but I will never forget that moment. If Kirk happens to read this, thanks for building me up spiritually. I hope to see you again and know for sure that I will be that "crazy white gal" that you notice in the front row. I love you and hope that you guys enjoy this video!

God Bless,
Rebecha

Ariana Grande Make Up Inspired Look

A Verse To Remember:
For the Bible verse for this blog entry, I have to give props to one of my favorite You Tubers Kandee Johnson because of her amazing video post that she put up today. Please visit her You Tube channel and check out her latest inspiring video. The following verse came to mind as I was watching her video
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. ~Romans 8:28

I have really been enjoying Ariana Grande's unique voice and I think that she is just the cutest thing! She is so petite and small. I just want to pinch her cheeks like a grandma would their grand-kids. LOL. I enjoyed watching her on Nickelodeon ("sad face" because Sam & Cat is no more). I appreciate that I can listen to her music without any foul and negative language. I did pick up her new album that was released yesterday and I am loving it! I watched the Video Music awards the other day only to watch her opening performance and to catch her make up style for that day. This is her usual look that she recreates often. Sadly, this was the hardest for me to create. I do well with makeup application, but I EPIC FAIL at winging out liner. I try so hard, but it just isn't working for me. I look like a vampire with my light skin compared to hers! Her skin is naturally beige. I kept my eyebrows pretty light compared to how I am use to filling them in. Very minimal eyeshadows with a strong focus on the black winged out liner. I don't notice any harsh contours but do see a really pretty coral type light blush. I noticed zero glitter. She appeared to keep her makeup pretty matte. Her lips are a pretty red and looked fab! Here is what I came up with to recreate the look Becca Style! Holla!

                                                            Love,
                                                               Rebecha

I used the Lorac Pro 2 Palette on my eyes!

1) I applied Lt Brown into the crease and did a lot of blending.

2) I applied Nectar into the crease and blended as well. Last

3) I applied Nectar all over my lid.

4) I used Maybelline Black Gel Liner to create a winged liner look.

5) I curled my lashes and added mascara. I did not notice any false lashes, so I skipped that step.

6) On my cheeks I added a bright pinky reddish blush and over top applied a bronzer to tone down the brightness of the blush.

7) I lightly filled my brows in.

8) I found a MAC Lipstick that I own in "Brick-O-La" as the closest color that I own to mach Ariana's red lipstick look.

~ Rainbow Eye Look! ~

A Verse To Remember:
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's might hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 1 Peter 5:6

I love working with color and really wanted to do an eye look with a Rainbow effect. I used Urban Decay's Vice 1 Palette for this look, but you can use any bright eye colors to achieve the same effect. Using pastels would be really pretty too. I tag all of my fellow makeup lovers to this challenge. It really was easy. I just took one step at a time and in the end it all came together lovely! I am so happy and excited to share this look with you. I hope that you really enjoy it! Please show me your Rainbow effect look on Instagram!

                                                  Love,
                                                      Rebecha

Step 1: I applied Urban Decay Primer Potion in Anti Aging all over my eye lid and up to the brow.

Step 2: I applied the gold color Blitz on the inner corner of my eye as well as on the inner part of my bottom lash line.

Step 3: I applied the pink color "Noise" in the middle of my eye lid and also on the middle part of my bottom lash line.

Step 4: I applied the teal color "Unhinged" on the outer corner of my lid and blended into the crease from inner corner to outer corner. I as well took the shade and applied it on the outer corner of my bottom lash line.

Step 5: I blended the green color "Kush" (Stand alone shade currently available though Urban Decay) above the crease. Blend, Blend, Blend!!!

To finish up the look I added black gel liner (Maybelline) to my upper lash line and applied my favorite false lashes, which at the moment are by Sonia Kashuk.

My First Ipsy Glam Bag! August 2014

A Verse To Remember:
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's might hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5: 6-7

**Join me on ipsy and subscribe to the Glam Bag! You get 4-5 beauty products every month delivered to your door, for just $10. Michelle Phan curates the bags! Check it out here: http://www.ipsy.com/r/c0e2

I am so excited to receive my first Ipsy Glam bag! I first heard about this beauty subscription service by watching beauty gurus on You Tube. Basically, for $10.00 a month you receive a makeup bag (different each month) with 5 deluxe sample or full size products. The products you receive are based on a beauty quiz that you take on the Ipsy website. I am really going to get good use out of this subscription service. I love to receive samples of products to try rather then buying a full size version and not liking it in the end. I can't wait for my September bag!! You will just want to keep in mind that there is a small wait list (around a month) for this service, but it is worth the wait. You will receive periodic emails that will give you the opportunity to remove yourself from the wait list and to start receiving your subscription. I was a little disappointed because I did not receive information about each product like the gals on You Tube receive.  Here's what I received in my first Glam Bag!

                                                   Love,
                                                        Rebecha

This is the bag that I received for August. Isn't this just the cutest thing!!?? It is made of plastic and will be great for traveling. I am going to use it in purse to hold my makeup. It will be great for messy products and is easy to clean up!

Weight: 2.5g/ 0.09 oz  Full Size
This eyeshadow is just the cutest thing! You can open it up and there is a little mirror and a tiny eyeshadow applicator. Its so cute! The color is really pretty. It will probably be used best by me as a brow highlight. I wonder if I can use this as an all over face highlighter. Hmmmm.....

Weight: 0.15 oz Full Size
I have been on a hunt for a really good chapstick to wear overnight. This is super duper moisturizing. I am excited to give this a try in the evenings and perhaps it will be of use as a lip base for lipstick. We'll see!

Weight: 50 ml/ 1.06 oz  Deluxe Sample
Currently I have been using Its A 10 Dry Shampoo. Im looking forward to trying this product. I will let you know what I think!

Weight: 8 ml/ 0.27 oz  Deluxe Sample
I have never used a product like this before. It says that you can use this as a highlighter, mixed with a foundation and or body lotion for a pretty glow. It is a little bit intimidating for me, but I will give it a try!

Weight: .03 oz. Deluxe Sample

I was beyond excited to receive this pencil! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Urban Decay!! This color is so pretty!! I am so happy that I received this!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

5 Days & Looks of Lorac Pro!

A Verse To Remember:
Whatever you do , work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. it is the Lord Christ you are serving. Colossians 3:23-24

I love the Lorac Pro palette and appreciate that it is so versatile. I want to share 5 days of different looks using the Lorac Pro palette. I was amazed at how creamy the shadows are. I have never used any Lorac eyeshadows before. A little bit goes a long way. This palette is great for a natural to deep smokey eyes. I can't wait to try the Lorac Pro 2. I use the Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Primer with all of the looks. I highly recommend this palette! Go get it ladies! But first, which is your favorite look? Let me know on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook! Have a lovely and blessed weekend!

                                                                                Love,
                                                                                      Rebecha

Robin Williams... A Loss :(

A Verse To Remember:
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strenght to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.  ~Isaiah 40: 28-31

I don't think 10 minutes went by today without me thinking about all the laughs Robin Williams has brought to my life. Depression and Mental Illness is real. You don't see the effects of the disease on the outside but on the inside it is like a gross cancer eating away at you. Its a true battlefield of the mind to at which many do not understand. It is not a switch that you can turn off and on. Robin hid his pain easily and it is scary. From personal experience, I recommend not ignoring the signs of depression in any friend or family member. Take it seriously and be a good listener. Don't assume and automatically put yourself at fault. Ask questions and be supportive. That's being a true friend and family member.

To Robin,
Thanks for the laughs and tears. Thanks for opening the eyes of many on the seriousness of depression. You are a legend and your movies will live on and on.
                                                          Love,

Black/Dark Smokey Eye By Request!

A Verse To Remember:

Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father". So you are no longer a slave, but God's child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir. ~Galatians 4: 6-7

Last week I asked on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter what my readers wanted to see next on my blog and you responded! I picked a challenge from my girl McKenzie from work. She said that she wanted to see me work with all black products to get a dark smokey eye without looking like a raccoon. I took that challenge and created something great to compliment my dark hair and blue eyes. I used all black products with a fun spin of shimmer on top. This look, while intimidating, was so easy to create and only took a couple of steps. What do you think? Anytime you want to see something new or want to give me a nice challenge, just let me know! You can find me on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. You may also email me at beccasbeautyblessings@gmail.com Here's how I did it!

                                                         Love,
                                                             Rebecha

1) First I applied a black base using Jordana's 12 hr Made To Last Eyeshadow Pencil in 02 Stay-On Black
I used this pencil all over my lid and upper and lower water lines.

2) I used Sephora's Smudge Brush to blend the black evenly onto my lids.

3) I applied Urban Decay's Blackout Eyeshadow all over my lid and smudged under my bottom lashes. I also blended the color lightly up and into my crease.

4) I dabbed just a little Lorac 3D Liquid Luster in Silver. The color Silver is Limited Edition, so the Lorac 3D Liquid Luster in Diamond would look amazing too.

5) I topped off the look by curling my lashes and applying my currently favorite mascara Too Faced Better Than Sex.

Here's A Quick Tip: I applied the eye look first because of "fallout". I was able to clean up any fallout using a make up removing wipe and  then applied my foundation.

A Verse To Remeber:
I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. For in him you have been enriched in every way - with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge.  ~1 Corinthians 1:4-5

e.l.f Disney's Ariel Beauty Book

This palette is AMAZING!!!!! I did blog post using this palette. You can find that HERE. It really makes my eyes look like I live "under the sea" You can find this at Walgreens. I am pretty sure that they will be removing this product soon if not already, so go snatch it up! It seems that Snow White is next for e.l.f. I can't wait to get it! I just feel extremely pretty when I wear this. The gloss works surprisingly well! I love love love the color and wish I could buy it full size! The eyeshadow brush included works well at packing on shadow on my eyelid. Yeah! Please check out my blog post using this palette!

It's a 10 Dry Shampoo & Conditioner in One

I really love using this spray on my second day curly hair. It really revives my curls and adds shine. I love the scent that the spray gives my hair too. I don't use it too heavily on my roots though because it can tend to look oily. I am all about It's a 10 Products!

Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder in Translucent Extra Coverage 070-41

This finishing powder is so cute! It has been out for years and years. It finishes my foundation well and has a classic powder scent. I really love the way this feels on my skin and is definitely not cakey! Give this a try ladies! You can find this at your local drug store!

Mally 24/7 Brow Express Brow Color in Sable

This eyebrow pencil/powder is crazy amazing. On one end there is a eyebrow pencil and on the other end there is a pressed eyebrow powder. This brow product is very precise and easy to use. The color is very natural and gives a natural eyebrow look.

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Nude Peach 162

I am a huge fan of NYX Lip Glosses! They feel so good on the lips and the color payoff is great. You do have to reapply a few times a day after eating/drinking etc. It smells nice too. This color is perfect for summer! I love NYX!

Maybelline Eye Studio Cream Eyeliner in Blackest Black

I am new to the gel and cream liners and find them quite intimidating but this liner makes it so easy! It goes on smoothly and is nearly error proof. I have very oily eyelids and this liner just doesn't budge. I am excited to give the other colors a try.

e.l.f HD Blush in Superstar

I have never used a cream/liquid blush before. This beauty is great! The first time I used it, I picked up too much product, but easy fix and I learned from that! The tinyist bit goes a long way! This is going to last me forever! The color is beautiful and brings a nice glow to my cheeks. There is no shimmer in this blush color that I have. I recommend this blush!

Yes To Tomatos Clearing Facial Mask

Yes to Tomatoes Clearing Facial Mask Image
This amazing mask is made for Oily and Acne Prone Skin. I am all about facial masks and this one definitly caught my eye at the drug store. My skin is extremely oily and acne prone. I feel like my skin produces a cup of oil daily no matter what primer, foundation, powder, blotting papers I use. I have noticed that using this mask controls my oily skin overnight. This is one mask though that you cannot leave on any longer then the alotted time. I usually leave a mask on for about 20 minutes or so. When I left this mask on that long, it seemed to irritate my skin. I HIGHLY recommend this product! Click on the link to read reviews and more info about the product!
